Parque Lage Photoshoot in Rio de Janeiro

Parque Lage is a park in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood, with a mansion, forest paths and old stone structures at the foot of the mountain. It is one of the most photogenic places in Rio and feels completely different from the beach.

For a photoshoot it gives you many settings in a short walk: a cobbled path with stone railings, a gazebo made to look like carved tree trunks, a ruined arch, an old bridge and the garden in front of the mansion.

Why shoot in Parque Lage

  • A green, shaded setting that is very different from the beach.
  • Many backgrounds close together: stone, water, ruins and the mansion.
  • Great for light and white outfits, and good on hot or cloudy days.

Best time of day

Early morning has fewer visitors and softer light. Opening hours, entry rules and photography rules can change, so I confirm them with you before your date.

What to wear

White and light colors look great against the green and the old stone. Avoid very busy prints. Wear comfortable shoes, because the paths are cobbled and some have steps.
