For Karen’s photoshoot in Rio de Janeiro, we chose two iconic locations that perfectly combine the tropical and beach lifestyle of the city: Jardim Botânico and Ipanema Beach.
We started the session surrounded by the tropical gardens and palm trees of Jardim Botânico, creating elegant and natural portraits with a calm atmosphere. Later, we headed to Ipanema Beach during golden hour for a more cinematic and relaxed beach aesthetic.
One of the things I love most about photographing in Rio is how different each location feels within the same session. Combining nature and beach scenery creates a gallery with much more variety while still feeling cohesive.
Karen wanted photos that felt natural, feminine and effortless, so throughout the session I guided her with simple direction and movement to keep everything relaxed and authentic.
